'Ordinary Day' is the flawless return from The Districts. Their first single proper since the release of 2015's widely acclaimed A Flourish And A Spoil, it is a cut of serious power, showing a gentle but impressive progression in sound. Rob Grote's unmistakable vocal has taken something of a subtle turn, without losing any of its spine-tingling punchiness, while the track's piano-clad opening brings a gently melancholic maturity to proceedings, before normal, foot-stomping, fist-clenching brilliance resumes.
